The Corolla Cross has significantly more cargo space overall. It also has a much higher ride height, which many shoppers prefer because it improves visibility in traffic. However, their passenger dimensions are fairly close, and the Corolla has more legroom in the back seat.
Performance 
The standard Corolla and Corolla Cross share the same engine: a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, which puts out 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. Both come standard with a CVT transmission and front-wheel drive, but the Corolla Cross also has available all-wheel drive.
